Movements: Two, but played as one continuous piece
Commissioned by: Michael Piccione, a good friend who first floated the idea about writing a grade IV(ish) solo & ensemble type piece a couple years ago, and Christopher Wilson, who commissioned the original Riverrun for piccolo trumpet and piano; a work from which much of this piece was adapted. 
The Gist: An epic lyrical first part leads into a rip roaring second part.  It lays great for the instrument and sounds more difficult than it is.
